Cheat Engine is an excellent software program that lets you select a game process that you are running on your computer and then scan it for specific codes or values (AoBs), and change the values if you desire. The software works on the Windows platform and it can be coded by advanced programmers so that their cheating cannot be detected.

How Cheats Work In Cheat Engine

When you run a computer program or video game on your computer it involves data being stored in memory that is called RAM. Every memory location within RAM has its own unique address like 00F0E880.

RAM is quite volatile and although there are fixed addresses for the memory locations, the data contained inside of them will change depending on which programs are currently running. Therefore, to create a trainer, you must identify a "pointer" which is a function that directs you to the proper value.

For example, to change how many lives are remaining, the memory location needs to be found for where the "lives" data is stored.

A trainer helps you identify the function in the game that will point you to the right location, where it resides in memory, which allows you to change it to suit your purposes. If cheats are new to you, this might not make a lot of sense. However, it all will become clear to you after you start to create trainers.

How To Hack Any Game

You create a trainer by conducting a scan for whatever value needs to be changed and to make sure you have the right value. Then, you execute a pointer scan for the specific address. Dozens of points are commonly thrown out. Your next is to try to narrow down how many pointers you have to a smaller number. You achieve this by rebooting and rescanning while using the newest assigned memory location and the same value. The goal is reducing the number of pointers you need to work with. You should repeat the process until you have less than 300 pointers.

Once you have completed all of this hard work, next you want to copy the pointers to your Cheat Table, connect Cheat Engine, and restart the game. Now you just need to compare the values contained in your cheat table with what you are seeing inside of the game environment. It should allow you to see which values correspond with which memory location.

First, ensure that your game and Chat Engine are running on your PC. Click on the small PC icon within Cheat Engine to select the game process. Select the game process in the list; normally it is titled the same thing as your game and also you can identify it by the icon that since it should correspond with the game icon on your Start Menu or Desktop.
After you select the game process, the next thing you need to do is locate the value that you want to hack in your game. To change the value(s), choose it/them, and then click on the red arrow inside Cheat Engine. This should place the values from the list on the bottom part of the Cheat Engine.
Choose the value(s) again from the list in the bottom and then Right Click on them. Navigate to Change Record, and then to Value. Enter the value that you would like it to change into and then you are done. Return to your game and have fun.

Potential Problems Using Cheat Engine

Trainers, Hacks, and Cheats become outdated frequently when there are updates to games.
